TopGrading Solutions has spent the last 3 months surveying candidates from the Payments and Retail Technology Sector to determine exactly how long they would hold out before taking a new job at a lower salary, if they lost their job today.

Results indicate that despite the unstable economy, people are still willing to wait for better, or at least equal compensation.  29.7%: The majority of candidates surveyed, indicated that they would wait at least 120 days (4 months) before considering a cut in their annual salary.  20.3% said they would wait 60 days (2 months) while another 20.3% said they would not take a cut in pay.  16.9% would wait 90 days (3 months).  Only 12.8% would consider it after the first 30 days of unemployment.  Read more below.
