Interise Uses Feedback Solution to Prove Job Creation in 30 Cities Nationwide
DULLES, Va.—Vovici, the leading provider of Voice of the Customer (VoC) and Enterprise Feedback Management (EFM) solutions, today announced that Interise, a nonprofit organization aimed at economic revitalization in lower-income, urban communities, has leveraged Vovici to provide transparency into the effectiveness of its innovative entrepreneurship development program.
Interise operates at the intersection of two of the hottest topics of the day—job creation and accountability. Interise’s small business development membership has been responsible for creating hundreds of jobs over the past few years in under-resourced, inner-cities all over the U.S. While its mission places it squarely within the spotlight of top priorities for today’s government and social leaders, Interise is dedicated to delivering real results. “Typically, nonprofits rely on things like institutional loyalty or belief in a cause rather than financial and organizational performance and potential social impact,” says Jeff Kessner, evaluation manager, Interise. “We strive to show tangible results and real change. We chose Vovici’s feedback platform for its ability to take us to the next level of capturing and measuring the change Interise delivers.”
The ‘StreetWise MBA’™ is the gateway to membership in Interise. A unique, nine-month program offered in nearly 30 cities nationwide, the ‘StreetWise MBA’TM employs a peer-based, learning process to help established small business owners access markets, capital, and knowledge. Interise’s 2009 Report Card points out that of the 268 businesses that have completed the program over the past five years, 64% have hired new employees, 36% have obtained new government contracts, and companies have experienced an average increase in revenue of 47%. “As we have added cities and entrepreneurs, our old systems utilizing paper surveys and low-end, survey tools have not kept up with our needs,” shares Kessner. “Much of the manual work that previously took 5-10 hours each week will be automated by Vovici freeing us up to add more members and further improve communications with investors.”
On top of enabling the company to operate more efficiently, Interise is leveraging Vovici to reach the next level. “We aim to use our unique view into grassroots job creation to become more involved with shaping government policy, which will put a lot more demand on our reporting capability,” explains Kessner. “Vovici is the solution that best enables us to combine data across multiple surveys into a single database, and support complex question types that reveal real intelligence from the field.”
“There are daily headlines relating to job creation and accountability, and Vovici is proud to support Interise on the front lines of both issues,” says Roderick Morris, vice president of marketing for Vovici. “Many of our customers rely on the Vovici platform to track and manage performance metrics, and I applaud Interise’s willingness to create a transparent line of communication with investors and program members.”
