The Aqueduct Gaming/Harrah’s deal is the latest as the state mulls bids from seven different development groups to build, operate and develop the gaming complex as part of the fabled Queens horseracing track.

Buffalo’s Delaware North Cos. is one of the lead partners in Aqueduct Gaming.

William Bissett, president of Delaware North Cos. Gaming & Entertainment, said the presence of Harrah’s Total Rewards program could boost tax revenues generated by the VLT operation at Aqueduct by 10 percent.

“We believe our brands will complement each other,” said David Norton, Harrah’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
The Aqueduct Gaming proposal includes the development of a hotel, several restaurants and nightclubs and other amenities around the racetrack.

“Our vision is to create an outstanding gaming and entertainment destination that achieves the right balance of world-class amenities and features and initiatives that capture and promote a neighborhood and community feel,” Bissett said.

The state is expected to award the Aqueduct bid within the next few weeks.
