Nike Sales Soar Post-Kaepernick Ad
Unless you’ve done an incredible job of ignoring the general public and mainstream news within the public sector (if so, do you mind teaching us how?), you’ve most likely seen or at the very least heard about the new Nike advertisement featuring former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Nike’s “Dream Crazy,” video has been viewed over 24 million times in just one week on YouTube. The mixed reaction from the video across the country has been intriguing to watch. Who would have thought one video could cause someone to cut the Nike logo off their socks out of protest? Clearly, whether you love it or hate it, the advertisement was brilliant from a marketing standpoint. Everyone has been talking about Nike for days and they remain in the limelight. Loyalty amongst Nike’s customers has increased with its 31 percent sales spike since the commercial. The commercial is currently on pace to be one of the most watched videos in YouTube history (if that’s not incredible marketing, then we don’t know what is).

Where Millennials Carry the Most Debt
Debt continues to be a concern for millennials across the United States. San Antonio, Pittsburgh, Austin, Houston, and Jacksonville sit atop of the mounting list of cities with the most millennial debt. Surprised New York City, Seattle, or San Francisco aren’t anywhere near the top of the list? There’s a simple solution as to why so many of these “affordable” cities carry the most millennial debt. The cost of living in cities within these states, like Texas or Pennsylvania, is lower but so are the wages, thus not solving millennials student loan, auto loan, and credit card issues. All in all, it looks like there’s no getting away from the mounting debt problem for the millennial generation. Hey, there’s always the option of moving to Tibet to run away from ones problems? The ball is in your court millennials.
