7 Things Your E-Commerce Packaging Needs to Make a Good Impression

Wawa opens first drive-thru at Westampton, NJ location Friday

Wawa history has been made as the company opened its first drive-thru on Friday. The drive-thru window was added to a store on Rancocas Road in Westampton, Burlington County.

The store gives customers the option to stay in their car while getting their coffee, hoagie and other favorites. Customers can still head inside or get gas.

"We're all just so excited," Brian Schaller, chief real estate and fuel officer for Wawa, said during a grand opening ceremony. The store and drive-thru were created from concept to opening in nine months, he said. Schaller said the drive-thru offers a limited menu compared the one inside.

 

5G auction soars past $23 billion with Verizon leading way

The Seattle-Times reports that offers for 5G airwaves have already surpassed $23 billion in a massive U.S. auction that could feature heavy bidding by Verizon Communications, which needs more spectrum to compete in the dawning era of ultrafast mobile connections.

Analysts expect Verizon to put up $20 billion in a field of 57 bidders that includes fellow mobile heavyweights AT&T and T-Mobile US, and cable companies Comcast Corp. and Charter Communications Inc. Collectively they could push bidding to a record $47 billion, according to 11 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg. Bidding started Dec. 8 and is expected to continue into the new year.

 

Charlotte Hornets Staff Participate In Holiday Gift Delivery To Families In Need

Charlotte Hornets employees and their families participated in the Hornets Holiday Gift Delivery on December 18th, presented by Hanes, by giving presents to 29 families from the Salvation Army Center of Hope Women and Children’s Shelter, according to a news release. Officials say these families in need are staying at an Extended Stay America hotel due to COVID-19 health regulations.

Hornets employees say they delivered the gifts to the Spectrum Center, while the Honey Bees prepared gift bags with socks and t-shirts from Hornets partner Hanes, as well as prepared family game night baskets with either a board game or activity, holiday goodies, and a gift card from Walmart.

 

McDonald's Is Giving Out Free 6-Piece McNuggets on Saturday

McDonald’s is giving away free six-piece orders of McNuggets on Saturday. To get the deal, just put together an order of at least $1 in the McDonald’s mobile app, and you’ll be able to add a six-piece McNuggets for free, according to the chain

Each daily deal at McDonald’s honors a beloved holiday character from pop culture. This one is dedicated to Gizmo of Gremlins fame. The final deal of the series, which is a tribute to Santa, will get you free Chocolate Chip Cookies on December 24. There’s no minimum order requirement to get your hands on the sweets.
