Church’s Texas Chicken and its international counterpart, Texas Chicken, have announced an ambitious global expansion plan, aiming to open over 900 new locations this coming year. This initiative will significantly increase the brand’s international presence, with new development agreements signed in Germany, Hungary, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Morocco. The company is also targeting key European markets, including the UK, France, Italy, and Spain, as part of its strategy to capitalize on the growing demand for convenient, quick-service dining options.

In 2024, Church’s Texas Chicken and Texas Chicken opened 60 new restaurants across 14 markets, reinforcing their global footprint. The brand’s focus on providing affordable, high-quality chicken meals has resonated with consumers, leading to increased demand in underserved markets. With more deals in the work, the company is on track to grow its international presence over 50% in the next four years.

GoodRx Introduces E-commerce Experience

GoodRx has introduced a new e-commerce platform aimed at enhancing the prescription fulfillment process for retail pharmacies and consumers. Partnering with Hy-Vee, a Midwest-based retailer, this initiative allows customers to search for medications on GoodRx, verify availability at Hy-Vee pharmacies, confirm prescriptions, and complete payments online before picking up their medications in-store. This streamlined approach is designed to reduce friction points in pharmacy interactions, benefiting both pharmacists and consumers.

This development is part of GoodRx’s broader strategy to modernize the prescription purchasing experience by integrating digital solutions that enhance efficiency and profitability for retail pharmacies. By checking inventory, validating prescriptions, and facilitating online payments, the platform aims to simplify medication management for consumers and healthcare professionals alike. For retail partners like Hy-Vee, this system is expected to streamline pharmacists’ workflows and attract more customers through a user-friendly online interface.
