Chipotle Pilots Responsible Restaurant Design 

Chipotle Mexican Grill announced an all-electric restaurant design to maximize energy efficiency from 100% renewable energy sources. The brand piloted the new restaurants in Gloucester, VA and Jacksonville, FL, featuring solar and wind power. 

In addition to the new designs, Chipotle also launched a new sustainability campaign. The campaign aligns with the Science Based Targets Initiative, with plans to reduce direct and indirect greenhouse gas emission 50% by 2030. 

 

Wyndham Helps Hotel Owners Save on Renovations 

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts announced an expansion to its Manufacturer Direct program, which allows hotel owners to save on renovations. Initially launched for Days Inn®, the expansion will make the program available at Ramada® and Microtel® franchises. 

The Manufacturer Direct program helps owners save an average of 20% on renovation costs. The program is designed to enable owners to take a hands-on approach to renovations, driving greater transparency, value creation, and owner engagement. 

 

Disney Names First Chief Brand Officer 

The Walt Disney Company named Asad Ayaz its first-ever Chief Brand Officer. The newly created role will make Ayaz responsible for stewarding and elevating the Disney brand globally. 

Disney’s new Chief Brand Officer will develop and execute holistic brand marketing campaigns across the entire ecosystem of company touchpoints and consumer experiences. Ayaz will also continue to serve as the President of Marketing for The Walt Disney Studios.
