Over the past few years, retail convenience stores (c-store) have changed drastically, especially during and following the COVID pandemic. Because of the two different markets, most c-stores serve — fuel and in-store retail — determining how to drive more footfall and conversion, which requires brands to understand consumer behaviors and trends.
PDI Technologies and Gasbuddy analyzed trends in c-store retailers between 2017–2022, using survey data from over 15,000 c-store consumers across the U.S. Overall, the data provides an overview of 2022, helping c-store brands determine where to invest resources to create the best return in 2023.
