In an interview five weeks ago, SAP co-CEO Bill McDermott said his company’s cloud strategy was only just beginning to come together and that SAP would “let the tiger out of the cage” and into the cloud in 2012.
And with Saturday’s announcement of the $3.4 billion intended acquisition of high-growth cloud vendor SuccessFactors, it’s clear that the tiger is on the loose.
Which begs the question: who is SuccessFactors, and why....
