Tim Burton, one of our favorite film directors and producers, turns 53 today. Known for amazing, twisted, hilarious, and macabre movies such as The Nightmare before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, and Beetlejuice, our favorite is the sentimental fairytale, Edward Scissorhands. It’s been said that Edward Scissorhands is also Burton’s personal favorite out of all of his films, and it marked the beginning of his successful collaboration with Johnny Depp.
