Length of Service Award programs are among the most prevalent recognition programs in American business according to a 2011 survey through World at Work. These programs have strong benefits in being completely objective (years of service) and recognize something that is increasingly rare (long tenure). They also have some unique tax benefits, and while this is the obligatory statement that I am not a tax accountant, nor do I play one on TV, the following should serve as good....
