It’s always extremely rewarding to receive external endorsement of the great work MasterCard is doing in collaboration with governments and our financial partners to extend financial inclusion. The results of the FinScope South Africa 2013 survey, which were released by the FinMark Trust in Johannesburg, are especially worth celebrating: 75% of South Africans are now banked – up from 67% in 2012.
