In 1948, Bob Evans Restaurants was founded in Columbus, OH, where its headquarters remains. The brand’s founder — Bob Evans — decided to start making his own sausage to serve at The Steak House, a 12-stool diner he owned in the nearby village of Gallipolis. Evans’ farm supplied the meat for the now-famous sausage, and with feedback from those eating at the diner, Evans decided to enter the sausage business. In 1953, Bob Evans Farm was established.
