Colorescience is a beauty brand based in suburban San Diego, California. It was founded by Diane Ranger, a former kindergarten teacher from Houston, Texas. After wandering into a small beauty products boutique in Houston, Ranger was inspired. She moved to California and in 1976 opened her own shop which sold various products that she had developed in her kitchen. That store would eventually morph into Colorescience.
