Cargill is the largest privately held corporation in the U.S., yet few people recognize it beyond, perhaps, the name. “Compared with consumer goods companies, we have relatively low brand recognition,” concurs Lori Laflin, global customer engagement research manager for Cargill, “with the exception of people in the agricultural communities particularly in the U.S. who are much more likely to know Cargill. We are not an ‘Intel inside’ kind of brand.”
