Nordstrom Introduces Nordstrom Rack Fulfillment Options and Expanded Services
Nordstrom is introducing order pickup at U.S. Nordstrom Rack stores for Nordstrom.com, NordstromRack.com and HauteLook.com orders. The fashion retailer  is also enabling all Nordstrom Rack stores to fulfill online orders for customers. Later this year, customers will be able to pick up their U.S. NordstromRack.com and HauteLook.com orders at their nearest Nordstrom and Nordstrom Local. Offering these types of services and fulfillment solutions allows Nordstrom to better serve customers and is a unique point of differentiation.

"Our market strategy is how we provide customers with greater merchandise selection and faster delivery while increasing convenience through our services. Our Nordstrom Rack business plays a critical role within how we stay closer to our customers," says Erik Nordstrom, chief executive officer of Nordstrom. "The addition of these services and fulfillment options within our Nordstrom Rack stores enables us to further engage and serve customers on their terms."

REI Co-Op Expands Used Gear Business With Member Gear Trade-In Program
REI Co-op announced the expansion of its recommerce business by piloting two used-gear pop-up stores and its trade-in program, giving members more ways to buy and share gently used outdoor gear and apparel and keeping high-quality products rotating through the co-op community at more accessible price points. During a time when more people are turning to the outdoors and discovering new, socially distant, activities, REI continues to be a resource for gear and inspiration.

To expand gently used gear to more members across the country, the co-op launched its online recommerce business in 2018, supplementing its members-only Garage Sale events in REI stores across the nation. Today, despite a challenging retail environment, the online business alone is up nearly 100 percent compared to last year, in part due to demand from millennial customers who prioritize renting or purchasing used over buying new gear.

"Our recommerce business continues to exceed our expectations," says Ken Voeller, REI manager of new business development and recommerce. "We see many benefits to expanding this business. First, as an opportunity to introduce our members to more outdoor activities through lower priced products. Also, having a robust used gear business helps reduce the co-op's overall impact on the environment as we work to achieve our climate and zero waste objectives."

H&M And The Ellen Macarthur Foundation Rethink Denim Design And Production
A pair of jeans is likely the most common garment that we can find in any wardrobe around the world. In order to transform the way jeans are made today, last year the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Make Fashion Circular initiative defined how denim design and production could fit into circular economy principles, through durability, recyclability and responsible use of resources.

As a result of the participation in this visionary project, H&M will launch a remarkable men's denim collection inspired by natural simplicity. H&M Jeans Redesign launches October 15th and will be available in select stores worldwide and online at hm.com.

There are three jean styles, two jackets, an overshirt, tote bag and a bucket hat – all made from denim with a modern workwear vibe – in a color palette of light grey, washed black, mid-blues and deep indigo. The collection rethinks the design and production of denim products, furthering our aim of becoming fully circular in all our processes. With workwear silhouettes and details, the three jean styles in the Jeans Redesign collection are slim and straight, regular straight and a more relaxed shape, while the workwear jacket has three patch pockets to the front, the trucker jacket has a zip fastening and the overshirt has two patch pockets over the chest.
