Sheetz Becomes First Convenience Store Chain to Accept Bitcoin
Sheetz, a major Mid-Atlantic restaurant and convenience chain, announced it will be enabling digital currency payments via Flexa, the leading pure-digital payments network, to provide customers with the ability to pay for items inside the store or fill up their cars, trucks, and RVs at the pump using digital currencies like bitcoin, ether, litecoin, dogecoin, and more.

"Above all else, our mission at Sheetz is to continue providing our customers with the ultimate one-stop-shop where they can refuel their car and refresh their body,” said Linda Smith, Payments Manager for Sheetz.
7-Eleven Charges Forward with Installation of 500 Electric Vehicle Ports by End of 2022
7-Eleven, Inc. is accelerating its environmental ambitions. The iconic retailer is undertaking a massive installation project, with a goal of building at least 500 Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) ports at 250 select U.S. and Canada stores by the end of 2022.

Owned and operated by 7-Eleven, the new DCFC ports will increase convenient charging options for EV drivers by adding to the company's existing 22 charging stations located at 14 stores in four states. Once this expansion is complete, the company will have one of the largest and most compatible fast-charging systems of any retailer in the U.S.

D2C beauty brand, L'ange Hair, is expanding its distribution channels by extending its online partnership with Ulta Beauty to its first-ever on-shelf presence to all Ulta locations nationwide.

"We performed some significant demographic analysis and there is a lot of overlap between our target customer and Ulta's," says Andrea Marshall, Director of Retail for L'ange. "Giving those customers the accessibility to be able to test our products in the store allows us to elevate customer experience with our brand."
Costco Bringing Full In-Store Sampling Back
GroceryDive.com reports that Costco’s sampling and food court programs don’t have a large direct impact on the company’s bottom line, but they do round out the store experience that the club retailer relies so heavily upon and has been so eager to fully reinstate as pandemic restrictions lift.

After pulling its sampling stations last March, the club retailer implemented some stations that handed out pre-prepared products like crackers and cookies in individual containers that couldn’t be consumed inside the store.
Exchange Solutions Expands Loyalty Partnership with Well.ca Addition to BeWell
Exchange Solutions, a personalized loyalty solutions provider, announced that Well.ca is the second retail brand to offer BeWell points to Canadian consumers. BeWell members can now earn and redeem BeWell points at Well.ca in addition to all participating Rexall stores.

Implementing the BeWell program on Well.ca is the second of a multi-phase rollout initiative and comes just over a year after the launch of the program itself. Well.ca has partnered with Exchange Solutions for their proven ability to broaden the program into multiple brands using their extensible, cloud-based platform to enable this proprietary program coalition.
