Walmart Rolls Out New ‘Ask Sam’ Tool to Store Employees to Help Shoppers Find Products, Prices
 
According to an article in USA Today, Walmart has introduced a voice assistant app for employees, called “Ask Sam.” This feature will let them pull up maps, look up prices, find products, real-time emergency alerts, and COVID-19 information. This “Ask Sam” feature is now available to use for Walmart customers.
 
“In addition to guidance from their managers, having access to the answers and information they need at their fingertips gives associates confidence as well as more time on the floor with customers,” Meng Chee, Walmart’s executive vice president and chief product officer said in the above USA Today article.

Raley’s Rewards Hourly Team Members
 
Raley’s has announced that it will give an appreciation bonus, as the brand is calling it, to every hourly store, distribution center, pharmacy, production bakery, and support center team member. The reward amount will be $500 for full-time employees and $250 for part-time employees.
 
“We are grateful for our team members and pleased to be able to give back even more,” said Keith Knopf, Raley’s President & CEO, in a Raley’s news release. “Their dedication is inspiring under normal circumstances and even more so during these difficult circumstances.”

Denny’s Offers Rewards Members Chance to Score Free Delivery Through End Of 2020
 
Denny’s has announced that it is offering the ability to get free delivery through the end of 2020 by placing a delivery order through the brand’s Denny’s on Demand platform by August 9, 2020. Those rewards members that meet that August 9 deadline will get a weekly coupon through email that can be redeemed for free delivery once a week until the end of the year.
 
For those that aren’t reward members, they can still get free delivery by signing up for Denny’s Rewards and placing an order by August 9. The free delivery is available to use at participating Denny’s locations across the country through the end of 2020.

USPS Launches Loyalty Program
 
The United States Post Service has announced that it is launching a loyalty program. This program starts on August 1, 2020. Customers automatically earn credit when they ship with Click-N-Ship.

  • Click-N-Ship business account users can get $40 credits for every $500 they spend on Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express labels

  • New Click-N-Ship business account users will earn a one-time $40 Welcome Bonus for their first $500 spent

  • Introductory Bonus – Between August 1 and September 30, 2020, they can get another one-time $20 credit when they reach $500 in spending

 
Charleys Philly Steaks Introduces New Mobile App & Rewards Program
 
Charleys Philly Steaks has announced the launch of a new mobile app in partnership with Punchh for iOS and Android devices. Enrolled customers start receiving points for every dollar spent with the Cheesesteak brand. These points can then be converted to reward dollars to be used at their next visit.
 
“Charleys is on a roll,” said Brian Hipsher, VP of Marketing, in a Charleys press release. “The brand is serious about improving all aspects of the guest experience. Our new app and online ordering platform are just the beginning. Our fans and franchisees will absolutely love this new program. Who doesn’t want to be rewarded for their loyalty?”
