The Salad House Loyalty Program Drives Users to New App
As the restaurant landscape across the country continues to shift, The Salad House – a health-conscious fast casual restaurant that specializes in customizable salad creations – is adding a new feature to help further extend the reach of its robust rewards program: a mobile application.

While The Salad House has always had a strong program to reward loyal customers, this new application will help them take their love for the brand to the next level. Customers will be able to utilize The Salad House’s loyalty program – called “FUELED FAM” – to take advantage of free food offers and major discounts from the brand, and users can even receive coupons and vouchers directly through notifications on the app or through text messages.

Launched on January 4, the new mobile app will provide customers with quicker and easier ways to order directly from The Salad House. The new app will contain a multitude of exciting features, including the ability for customers to save and remember their favorite create-your-own salad or sandwich creations, making for a convenient ordering experience. The app will also include a location finder and a coupon feature that allows the brand to provide coupons to those who share their creations on social media and tag The Salad House. Another key feature is the app’s direct connection to The Salad House’s point-of-sale system.

New Air Canada Aeroplan and Virgin Australia Partnership
Virgin Australia and Air Canada are set to roll out a new alliance which will see their respective Velocity and Aeroplan frequent flyers able to earn and burn points across both airlines.

Taking effect from January 19, it comes amid glimmers of hope on the prospect of international travel restarting.

It also comes just over four years since the airlines first announced a "strategic cooperation agreement" in December 2016, spanning from codeshare flights to reciprocal frequent flyer benefits.

Doordash Drivers Can Now Earn Cash Rewards
Door Dash drivers will have the opportunity to earn cash rewards by completing a certain number of deliveries. These rewards are on top of what Dashers already earn with each delivery.

In January, any U.S. Dasher who completes at least 450 deliveries will see an extra $200 in their account in early February. Canadian and Australian Dashers who complete at least 400 deliveries in January will receive $200 CAD/AUD in their accounts. Delivery goals and the associated rewards will be announced on the first of the month thereafter, and we’re excited to share more soon on additional rewards Dashers can earn.

Wendy’s, Flynn Restaurant Group Reach Agreement on NPC Assets
QSRMagazine.com reports that NPC International said Flynn Restaurant Group and Wendy’s reached an agreement after mediation to split the purchase of NPC’s nearly 400 bankrupt Wendy’s stores as part of an $801 million deal.

According to court documents, Flynn would acquire Wendy's stores in the Salt Lake City, Central Maryland, Baltimore North, and Baltimore South markets, more than 925 Pizza Hut restaurants, and all of the franchisee’s shared service assets for $552.6 million. Five Wendy’s franchisees that were previously joined in a consortium bid would acquire stores in the Kansas City Business, North Greensboro Business, South Greensboro Business, and Raleigh Business markets for $248.3 million. Wendy’s said it doesn’t expect to acquire and operate any stores as part of the transaction.
