Papa John's and Shaquille O'Neal Launches Bigger Pizza Experience With New Shaq-a-Roni Pizza

Papa John's has announced a new kind of pizza based on board member and restaurant owner Shaquille O'Neal called the Shaq-A-Roni. This new style of pizza is designed to be a bigger pizza experience, as it is an extra-large pizza topped with extra cheese and extra pepperoni, which is cut into the largest slice to date. The pizza was also conceived by O'Neal himself.
 
This new pizza will also come with an exclusive Snapchat AR experience for those that order the pizza. Customers can point their camera at the pizza box to reveal a 3-D surprise. Papa John's also plans to reveal more AR surprises across its social channels in July.

Preferred Hotels and Resorts Updates I Prefer Hotel Rewards
 
Preferred Hotels and Resorts has announced multiple updates to its I Prefer Hotel Rewards. These updates include a Flexible Member Rate, an Elite Platinum Offer, and new hotel options for I Prefer traveling and protecting I Prefer Members' Loyalty Status and points.
 
This Flexible Member Rate allows access to savings of 10 percent or more. The rate is fully cancellable up through the day of arrival. The Elite Platinum Offer features a daily breakfast for two and a resort credit of US $100 per stay. The brand has also announced 25 new properties that have joined the brand's loyalty programs.

Giant Food Focuses on Sustainability, Partners with Volta to Offer Free-To-Use Electric Vehicle Charging Stations


Giant Food has announced it is installing electric vehicle charging stations that are free to use for EV drivers at locations offering them. All stores launched will have two Volta charging stations, and they will feature high-resolution screens and share in-store specials and promotions for Giant loyalty shoppers.
 
There are already stations installed at a Catonsville, MD location, and will be coming soon to three locations in Maryland.
"Providing our shoppers and communities free electric charging services is part of Giant's larger sustainability efforts," said Ira Kress, President of Giant Food, in a Giant Food press release. "We are excited to offer our customers who opt for electric cars the satisfaction of quick and free charging while they shop.  It's a value for our shoppers that also benefits the environment."

Domino's Introduces Rain Check Registry, Announces Carside Delivery
 
Domino's has announced multiple new initiatives focused on customer experience. The first of those is a new Rain Check Registry, and it will let friends and family show their support to those planning or replanning a wedding due to the pandemic. Couples can create packages like "Small Wedding Now, Big Celebration Later." All gifts will be delivered in Domino's eGift Cards.
 
The second new area of business is Carside Delivery. This is a new contactless carryout option that customers can choose when placing their prepaid online order. "Domino's is all about providing a delicious, hot meal, the way customers want it – whether via carryout or delivery," said Dennis Maloney, Domino's senior vice president-chief innovation officer. "Domino's Carside Delivery gives customers the option to stay in their vehicle while a team member delivers their order to them, making for a convenient, contactless carryout experience. It's carryout, delivered."
