The Rise of Earned Media from Search and Social

For so long all forms of online marketing have existed inside of a vacuum where nary the many variations would meet.  Whether it was out of convenience or a genuine belief that the different approaches to online marketing had no impact with each other, they were typically segmented and un-aiding in each other’s endeavors.

However, with the passage of time and increased marketer majority, the evolution of online marketing synergy among the various tactical approaches is well underway, beginning with the convergence of organic search marketing and creative social media activities that are becoming more of a day-to-day reality.  Put search and social together and they are known as  “earned media,” and they are taking 2012 by storm.
