Shake Shack grew out of an art exhibit that was created to help rejuvenate New York City’s Madison Square Park. It started as a unique hot dog cart selling high-quality traditional fare such as hot dogs, fries, and freshly-squeezed lemonade and quickly became very popular. Developed by restaurateur Danny Meyers, it expanded into a proper building, or shack, and today boasts over 100 locations around the world.
