West Coast Customers Will Soon Enjoy Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts, which launched its DD Perks Rewards program earlier this year, is headed to the West Coast.

America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods plans to give California a taste of the iconic brand’s high-quality products and fast speed of service with the opening of its first full expression locations on the West Coast, which are now open in Modesto and Santa Monica.

Dunkin’ Donuts offers the full menu of beverages, sandwiches, and baked goods, along with inviting restaurant environments, comfortable seating areas, and free Wi-Fi for guests.

“Today we continue to celebrate our highly anticipated expansion to California, starting with the opening of our new restaurants in Modesto and Santa Monica,” Paul Twohig, President, Dunkin’ Donuts U.S. and Canada, and Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Europe and Latin America, said in a release. “Californians have eagerly and enthusiastically awaited Dunkin’ Donuts’ arrival, and we are proud to bring our high-quality beverages and baked goods as well as the fast and friendly service we’re famous for to the state.”

Dunkin’ Donuts’ expansion to California will further cement the company’s position as America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee, sandwiches and baked goods. The new locations offer its famous hot, iced and frozen beverages, delicious breakfast and bakery sandwiches, donuts, bagels and muffins, as well as better-for-you options from its DDSMART® menu, to guests in the Golden State. The opening of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Modesto and Santa Monica restaurants is part of a larger plan to open about 200 new restaurants in California over the next several years. The company plans to eventually open more than 1,000 restaurants in total throughout the state.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ Modesto restaurant is owned and operated by Sizzling Donuts, LLC, an experienced Dunkin’ Donuts operator with restaurants throughout the West. The franchise group has signed a multi-unit store development agreement to open 46 stores in the Sacramento metro area. The Santa Monica location is owned and operated by existing Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee Gary Haar and his business partner Steve Silverstein. The two will develop 10 restaurants in total throughout Los Angeles County.

Dunkin’ Donuts has 10,800 restaurants in 31 countries worldwide.

When Dunkin’ Brands first announced its plans to enter California, CEO Nigel Travis said: “Since the day I joined Dunkin’ Brands, one of the questions I’ve been asked most is, “When will Dunkin’ Donuts open in California?” I hear requests to come to California almost every day from our fans on the West Coast and all throughout the country, and of course from our passionate communities on Facebook and Twitter. Some big-name celebrities have even made pleas on national TV for us to bring our famous coffee to Hollywood.”
