Southwest Airlines Takes Customer Engagement to Seattle and New England Fans

This time, Southwest Airlines jumped out in front of the customer engagement/customer experience challenge by offering fans of the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks additional nonstop flights and connections Seattle and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and Boston and Manchester (New Hampshire) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport .

Southwest Airlines spokesperson Dan Landson told Loyalty360 that the airline looked at customer demand before deciding to offer the additional flights.Southwest Airlines Customer Engagement

“From a broad spectrum, we look at where the demand will be and make sure we have the ability to support the demand,” Landson said. “For the big game weekend, we know there’ll be high demand for flights originating in cities and areas around Seattle and Boston. Therefore, we want to make sure we have even more options for travelers who will be heading to Phoenix to cheer on their favorite team.”

Super Bowl XLIX is set for Feb. 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The additional flights will be offered only between Jan. 29 and Feb 2 to handle the anticipated increase in travelers.
