MSC Cruises’ New Globe Trotting Loyalty Program Entices Travelers from Europe and Beyond

MSC Cruises' Loyalty ProgramMSC Cruises understands that a great loyalty program can transcend boarders and boundaries, which is why Europe's number one cruise line has taken to the high seas with a brand new customer engagement strategy.

Frequent MSC travelers and ocean-going adventurers journeying from northern Europe to southern Africa and beyond can now take advantage of a new loyalty program called the “MSC Voyagers Club,” which provides special access to promotional cruises and enhanced onboard benefits.

The launch of MSC Voyagers Club comes after the brand decided to discontinue its former loyalty program, MSC Club, in order to bring an even better customer experience to its guests.MSC Voyagers Club

To make good on its commitment to offer an exceptional customer experience, MSC Voyagers Club is designed to reward customer loyalty at all phases of brand interaction including before, during, and even after their cruise.

One of the major advantages of the new program comes via the brand’s new “Welcome Level.” This free membership tier lets customers join the program before they ever set sail, and comes with a confirmed booking service. Above the welcoming stage, MSC Voyagers Club provides personalized membership cards for each of the four additional tiers, which includes Classic, Silver, Gold and Black.

Each progressive tier lets members enjoy increasingly valuable benefits such as spa treatments, free on-board spending, cruise extensions, and more.

To increase customer engagement even after the cruise is over, MSC Voyagers Club gives every member at the Classic, Silver, Gold or Black levels the ability to earn a 5 to 20% discount on a future cruise. Higher tiered members can also receive s $50 free credit to use on-board.

One final feature of the program comes with MSC Cruises’ acknowledgement that many guests and travelers often belong to multiple travel loyalty programs simultaneously. Therefore, MSC Voyagers Club also features a loyalty match, which allows members to receive instant tier upgrades and benefits based on previously accumulated points from outside programs.

These offers are all part of the brand’s attempt to increase its expansion, and not only across Europe.

"MSC Cruises is a Europe-based company with bold global ambitions; we sail to many select destinations worldwide, from the Caribbean to South America and South Africa,” MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said in a recent statement. “But Europe, and the Mediterranean in particular, remains at the heart of our business, even as we grow and open up new geographical possibilities – Cuba being just the most recent example. Going forward, we will continue to build on this position of strength in Europe to ensure we remain the cruise line of choice for more than 150 nationalities every year, in Europe, in the Mediterranean and in other markets, where our distinct cruise experiences set us apart."
