Search Marketing Firm Moves up Five Notches to No. 15 in its Fourth Year in Annual Listing
Covario, Inc., one of the nation’s largest independent search marketing agencies, moved up five places to No. 15 in the recently released Advertising Age Magazine ranking of the 25 Largest U.S. Search Marketing Agencies.
Covario’s U.S. managed revenue grew in 2011 by 75.7 percent to $21.3 million – the highest growth rate of all of the search agencies on the list. In the previous 2010 Ad Age search marketing agency ranking, Covario came in at No. 20. The San Diego-based firm’s revenue is reflected in terms of net revenue exclusive of gross media costs.
Covario is one of only three privately-held search marketing agencies to make the top 15. It is one of five firms in this top tier to be ranked based on actual revenue, while the other ten were included based on Ad Age estimates.
This marks Covario’s forth year on the annual list. The firm first cracked the Ad Age listing in 2009 when it ranked No. 25 among search agencies for 2008 revenue.
