Dunkin' Donuts Mobile WalletDunkin’ Donuts is consistently among the first to embrace advances in customer experience technology. Apple Pay, the mobile wallet technology found in iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, and iPhone 6s Plus, has been added as a payment method within the market-leading Dunkin’ Mobile App. The app allows Dunkin’ Donuts customer to pay either in-store or at the drive-thru, and has been downloaded more than 15 million times since it launched in 2012.

For those unfamiliar with Apple Pay, the feature allows credit and debit cards to be stored in an iPhone, giving the user the ability to pay simply by providing a fingerprint on the phone’s home button and holding the device near a NFC (Near Field Communication)-enabled reader. The technology has seen massive growth since launching, with users praising its convenience as well as its ability to maintain the security and privacy that is so important when handling sensitive financial information.

Customers will be able to reload, purchase, and gift digital Dunkin’ Donuts cards to earn loyalty points, which can later be redeemed for rewards. Every dollar spent using a Dunkin’ Donuts card earns five points. At 200 points, members earn a free any-size beverage from participating locations. In addition, customers also earn the same reward upon enrollment, as well as on their birthday.

This latest news builds upon Dunkin’ Donuts’ existing drive to provide app users with the best possible experience. There are 11,500 Dunkin’ Donuts locations, found in 40 countries worldwide.
