Hospitality giant beat out three other finalists for the top spot 

CINCINNATI – Numerous brands from around the world submitted entries for this year’s Loyalty360 Customer Loyalty Awards, but only one could be named as a Platinum winner in the Customer Insights category. Revealed at the 2016 Loyalty Expo, the top prize went home with Wyndham Rewards, the guest loyalty program of Wyndham Hotel Group.
 
Wyndham placed a premium on customer insights when redesigning Wyndham Rewards, conducting extensive research into what customers like (and dislike) about existing loyalty programs. From this data, the company found that simplicity was a top factor in program selection, and redesigned Wyndham Rewards with the simplest value structure in the industry.
 
Accepting on behalf of Wyndham Rewards at the awards was Noah Brodsky, SVP of Worldwide Loyalty & Engagement at Wyndham Hotel Group.
 
“Our entire revamp of Wyndham Rewards—from introducing a flat, 15,000-point redemption rate to our recent unveiling of Member Levels—has been grounded in customer insights,” said Brodsky, “It’s fundamental to the way that we think about loyalty and has been pivotal in allowing us to create what has become the world’s simplest, most generous hotel loyalty program.”
 
Other finalists in the category were Thrivent, Kellogg’s, and InterContinental Hotels Group, earning the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards, respectively.
